*** USA SONGWRITING COMPETITION WINNING SONGS ON RADIO
Acoustic Café radio show will air the winners of the 2011 competition every week this month in May: Ed Romanoff, Orly, Jack Perla, Nianell

*** PAST WINNERS & FINALISTS' UPDATES
*Alexander Cardinale (16th Annual USA Songwriting Competition, First Prize winner, Pop & Overall 2nd Prize Winner) had his winning song "Traffic Lights" on the new "90210" TV program on CW network, aired on March 6, 2012. He was also on Music Connections Magazine's HOT 100 Unsigned Artists list of the year 2011.
*The Wailin Jennys (8th Annual IAMA, Best Group, First Prize Winner) had their winning song "Bird Song" aired on NPR radio's "A Prairie Home Companion" on the past weekend's 5/19/12.
*Andrea England (2005 USA Songwriting Competition finalist) has her song recorded by Nicole Scherzinger's debut solo record. Nicole Scherzinger was a judge on X-Factor as well as a member of the Top 40 group "Pussycat Dolls".
*Molly Hunt (16th Annual USA Songwriting Competition First Prize - Country & Overall 3rd Prize winner) made passed the Hollywood round and Las Vegas round of the Top 60 of American Idol TV show. She is the youngest first prize winner of the USA Songwriting Competition at just 15 years old.
*Michele Vice-Maslin (10th Annual USA Songwriting Competition First Prize - R&B) wrote the Top 40 Hit song "Help Me" for Nick Carter. Michele has also won an Emmy award for writing song for TV show "Guiding Light".
*Nenna Yvonne (16th Annual USA Songwriting Competition Overall Grand Prize winner) featured in Japan's Cure Magazine. Nenna Yvonne premiered her winning song "Go Around," on CBS's hit TV show "The Mentalist"
*Ken Hirsch (15th Annual USA Songwriting Competition, First Prize winner, Pop & Overall 2nd Prize Winner) co-wrote the score of the stage musical "An Officer and a Gentleman". It's scheduled to premiere in Sydney, Australia on 5/24/12
*Christopher Tin (2010 USA Songwriting Competition Honorable Mention winner) won two Grammys for: 'Best Classical Crossover Album', and 'Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalists' for his USA Songwriting Competition song entry 'Baba Yetu'. 'Baba Yetu' won an honorable mention award in the 2010 USA Songwriting Competition.
